Red Dress Fashion Show
The Red Dress Fashion Show at Oregon State University promotes AIDS awareness through a major campus event. This required designing multiple elements including posters, fliers, digital slides, brochures, tickets, newspaper ads, and hang tags.
I wanted to move completely away from traditional college poster layouts and create something more attention-grabbing. The design was inspired by pop art and magazine cover layouts, giving the serious cause a bold, contemporary visual approach that would actually make students stop and look.
Sometimes raising awareness means being willing to break from expected design conventions.
