PROBLEM SOLVING IS FUN

I'm a designer who thrives on solving problems, whether that means building a soft goods category from scratch, directing photoshoots on tight budgets, or taking charge of an office redesign. I love a challenge!

JACK OF MANY DESIGN TRADES

A jack of many design trades, my career has taken me from designing apparel for DC Shoes and UNIONBAY to being lead graphic designer for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival to leading creative teams at Barebones. Each role proved that good design thinking transcends categories when you understand the fundamentals.

ANNOYING BRIGHT-SIDE-LOOKER

I'm a master of chaos, able to wear multiple hats, take on odd jobs, pivot on a dime, and actually thrive in that environment. As an annoying bright-side-looker, I find that positivity is a motivator for all projects. I bring big energy, playfulness, and a splash of sarcasm to every role because work should be engaging, not exhausting.

PASSIONATE ABOUT LEADING & CRAZY IDEAS

What drives me isn't just making things look good, it's creating solutions that actually work for real people and real businesses. I'm passionate about leading teams in a way that empowers creativity rather than stifles it, staying organized when projects get chaotic, and capturing that moment when what seemed like a crazy idea gets put into motion and magic happens. Whether I'm collaborating with a chef on restaurant branding or developing product lines based on customer feedback, I bring curiosity, adaptability, and genuine excitement for the process of making ideas tangible.

BAREBONES

Soft Goods Designer & Category Manager

2023 - 2025 (at Barebones since 2016)

Established Barebones' soft goods category from the ground up, leading complete product lifecycle from initial market research through design development to launch campaign execution. The resulting casual bag collection became the company's top-selling products across all categories including being picked up by Costco.com.

From Designer to Launch Campaign >> Neelum Waxed Denim Bag Collection

Based on current trends, customer feedback, and the popularity of Barebones’ Harvesting Bag, I created a more versatile and smaller everyday style bag that still embraces it’s foraging roots with three swappable inserts: canvas, mesh, and waterproof. **Image shown is unreleased updated style, click here to see original design.

Creative Director (Art Director / Designer)

2016 - 2023

Grew with Barebones from scrappy startup designer to Creative Director leading a team, shaping the brand's visual DNA through both lean times and record-breaking growth. In true small-company fashion, I wore every hat imaginable—designing packaging one day, directing photoshoots the next, then jumping into trade show booth layouts or sales presentations. Along the way, I built relationships with a network of photographers, freelancers, and global partners who became essential to bringing our vision to life across every touchpoint.

SUNNYBOY BISCUIT CO.

Logo Design & Brand Development (Side Project)

2019 - 2020

Collaborated closely with owner/Chef Gabriel Ferguson to bring his vision of a retro diner-inspired restaurant to life in San Diego's bustling Hillcrest neighborhood. Developed brand identity including logo design, storefront aesthetics, color palette, menu layouts, and apparel graphics that captured the playful, nostalgic vibe he envisioned. The result was Sunnyboy Biscuit Co.—a retro inspired brand experience that translates seamlessly from signage to staff uniforms, proving that when chef and designer are in sync, the process is fun and rewarding.
